Fend off those wintery chills with this pretty cowl. Snug enough to keep your neck warm with just enough room to pull up over your chin when the breeze picks up. The lace design is easy to memorize after just a few pattern repeats and knits up quickly.

[…] stubbled across a great pattern last night. Check it out Had to cast on this morning, new I had the perfect yarn. Well Sashka’s yarn would be perfect […]
Opps, I could be wrong but I think row 6 should read K1 after the s2kp instead of k3?
Thank you. It’s a lovely pattern. It’s a bonus that it even looks great with handpainted yarn. Cowls are one of my favourite items to wear and knit and since I have lots of handpainted yarn in my stash this would be perfect.
You are correct, thanks, I edited the pattern.
Sorry to be such a wimp, but I cannot figure out how to either print out this cowl pattern or save it. I can’t knit it while sitting at the computer – how do the rest of you do it?
Is the pattern available in a file form? I came here from Rav, which said the pattern is free…
What I do is highlight the text and open it in a word program. Then print it. If you want I can email the file. Let me know
I see my mistake now – I was trying to highlight only one pattern on a page with all the free patterns on it and everything was getting highlighted. What a mess. I have now gotten the cowl pattern. Thanks!!
Hi Sqwish-
Could you label this post under “free patterns”. I came across this pattern only after I clicked the archives for the month of November.
Thanks and its a lovely pattern!! I am planning to make this for my sweet SIL.
I will, thanks for the suggestion.
